Here’s another math/logic puzzle to put your brain to test. Simple arithmetic can sometimes be a hassle when you’re in a filled with a lot of thoughts or in a hurry. Now that you’re probably just chilling, this one should be really easy. Before clicking this, you probably tried a lot of mathematical symbols on solving this problem. Do you have a guess on what you might have missed? It is the tiniest symbol of all. That’s right, the answer is The Decimal Point.
To further explain this,
You have the numbers, 5 and 9.
If you were to simply add a decimal point between those numbers, you’ll get 5.9, which is bigger than 5 and smaller than 9. This might seems crazy at first, but it is indeed a logical answer.
Decimal points are used to visually separate the whole numbers from the fractional. In some countries where comma is used for that purpose, it is used as a symbol for multiplication. Although it is used to represent the multiplication of two vector units in all countries. When written in English, the period symbol is also called the ‘Baseline dot’.
