The song is sung by Lt. Col. Mark Weber of the Minnesota National Guard, on June 14th while he was in the last stage of cancer. The very essence of this whole song is how Lt. Col Weber wants his dad to know of all his achievements so that his father is proud of him. Making his dad proud of him was his only wish before he passed away.
